I was invited into Margaret's bed tonight. It's not as creepy as it sounds. She told me I'm more than welcome to use it after Kiera, Brenda, and she head to Mass.

Margaret: "I can't believe I laughed at that kid. I feel bad now."
Ashley: "My lack of morals are rubbing off on you. I feel proud."
Margaret: "Thanks, Dad."

As I stated earlier this week, we saw The Killers live on Sunday, and proceeded to fall completely in love with them. They are the perfect new obsession. Anyway, we've determined we need to see them again, and closer this time. So we have started a collection to send us to see them in May when classes are over and made pleas on Facebook. The following conversation took place over Facebook while we were in the same room:

80sgirlie  : It is a good cause! *Nods head and looks innocent*. I have no perverse reasons for this *whistles innocently*.

Margaret: MIND. OUT. OF. THE. GUTTER.

Ashley: DO I HAVE TO?! I don't want to leave! It's actually kind of nice here. Cozy in the cuddle.

Margaret: It's like a huddle, but with more love!

Ashley: And less ass-slapping!

Margaret: ...ASS-SLAPPING IS A PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE FORM OF COMMUNICATING AFFECTION.

This week's Rec-A-Week segment only consists of two recs, but it's a nice way to transition back to this journal:

1. Let's Cause a Scene
                  This little gem is a representation of our joint new discovery. As you all know, or have read/heard about, we saw The Killers in concert on Sunday. They are an amazing band live, and we can't help but fangirl Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vannucci. This story is funny, sweet, hot, and about a million other things.

2. Unfogging the Future
                  This piece of fiction is a Panic at the Disco/The Killers crossover. It features Brendon Urie/Brandon Flowers. My mind nearly exploded just picturing the two of them. Think early years of both when pink and eyeliner were in.

I have not mentioned it in my personal journal, but brilligspoons has a wonderful summary of the experience on her journal. Oh, wait! You're probably wondering what the hell I'm talking about. Let me clarify. WE SAW THE KILLERS!!!! We spent a lovely Sunday with her sister in Hoboken and NYC. We started the day with a lovely lunch at an Irish pub in Hoboken, and then took the Path into NYC. We wandered around Times Square, made two trips to Virgin Megastore, brilligspoons had her picture taken with Cookie Monster, and ventured into Macy's. I found THE dress for formal. I'm sure I can find one similar to it in other stores. I would link a picture, but LJ is being mean to me right now. We headed to MSG around 5:20 and proceeded to rock the night away.

This fantastic experience has led to a new joint interest of ours. Band slash with The Killers. Brandon and Ronnie are so hot together. We have to admit that the writing is sometimes (most times) bad, but we can't stop because of the chance to find a gem.

1. Apostrophe use. There are only two rules for apostrophes and they still are not used properly! Some words can just not be used in a possessive manner. They cannot own things!

2. The word sword should never be used as a replacement for penis. Never.
